The goal with our Mastermind Program is to build a community of like-minded business individuals who can openly share ideas with each other. Heather & Maura will facilitate meetings on a monthly basis that allow you to openly and honestly discuss your challenges and successes. Together we will brainstorm and develop ideas to help your business grow. Each participant in the Mastermind should have an open mind and willingness to offer feedback to others. We will provide business advice and expertise in areas of your business and help you identify resources to further advance your business. We want to provide nourishment for you so that you continue to flourish!

Developing a community connection with the Mastermind participants for consistent dialogue and feedback.
Monthly Meetings
Three meetings will be conducted online. Heather and Maura will facilitate the monthly meetings that include business advice, group shares, action plans, and book discussion.
Monthly Business Challenges
Monthly tasks to challenge you and create a clear path to your goals. You will share what steps you will take towards completing the challenge, and we will hold you accountable.
Monthly Check-ins
Your success is directly tied to our success. Heather and Maura will tailor the monthly discussions around your specific business needs by evaluating your current business status. We want to get connected with your business.
Bonus
Heather will provide a website review for each participant to help improve the user experience. She will provide tips, suggestions and valuable feedback to enhance the impact your message has with your clients.

What We Expect:
- Experience. Each member of the Mastermind should be in business at least 1 year. Heather and Maura will, however, review all applicants and make decisions on an individual basis.
- Privacy. As cliché as it is, what happens in our Mastermind stays between us. It is important that we all feel comfortable in the group to openly discuss our businesses and ideas. Gossip will not be tolerated.
- An Open Mind. We want you to provide feedback to others as they present ideas. We also want you to accept any feedback given to you by others and not get defensive.
- Your Time. You must invest the time into the Program as directed by Heather and Maura. We will choose 1 book per month for reading and discussion. We expect you to purchase the book and participate in the topics discussed from the book.
Pricing
FA Mastermind- Payment schedule – 50% is due upon your acceptance to the program with the balance due at the beginning of the quarter.
- If you join us for the initial release of the Mastermind, you are grandfathered at this rate until you decide to depart the Mastermind. The investment may change each quarter.
Meet the Mentors
Maura is a chick that has done it all. Beginning her professional career in corporate America, she spent 14 years fine tuning her business skills. After promotions and pay raises, she realized something was missing… herself. Enter: Pics by Chicks Photography.
Born on a leap of faith and courage, what is now a six figure business took its first step. That step was Maura taking one foot out of the corporate America door, and one giant leap into her dream of photography. For three years, she managed to juggle both a career and a passion, until finally jumping into full time photography in 2015 – 6 months ahead of schedule.
She now operates as a full time boudoir photographer. Her passion is empowering women, and she does exactly that every day through the business she has built with her own determination. Her dream is to help other women achieve theirs goals, and she’s never been happier!
Heather is a professional wedding and portrait photographer based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She is the founder of the award winning Weddings by Heather and the Flourish Academy has been a professional photographer and instructor for 15 years. She holds degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Business, but left her corporate position as a Project Manager to pursue her passion for photography.
Heather has photographed hundreds of weddings and her work can be seen in The Knot, Pittsburgh Weddings and Modern Bride. As an Adobe Certified Expert in Photoshop, Heather has also been teaching and instructing photographers in both Lightroom and Photoshop. She has vast experience and knowledge that spans more than just the technical aspects of photography, she is also a business coach and trusted mentor in the industry.
Heather is driven by an overwhelming desire to see others succeed and, as a result, her workshops do more than just instruct, they inspire.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I join the Mastermind Program at any time?
Our enrollment window is only offered as spots open up in the group. Follow the Flourish Academy Facebook page and Community to be notified when enrollments are open.
Can I leave the Mastermind Program after one quarter?
Yes, you can decide to leave the program after one quarter, or any quarter for that matter. We do suggest that you participate in the Mastermind Program for at least 2 quarters so that you can share any progress you’ve made in your business.
When will I know if I’ve been accepted?
Once your application is submitted, we will review the candidates and make selections. We will notify you within two weeks of the close of the enrollment deadline.
What if I can’t make it to a meeting?
All the meetings will be recorded so that you can watch them whenever is convenient for you.
You are both photographers. Do I have to be a photographer to be a part of your Mastermind?
No. While we both have a photography background, we run successful and profitable businesses that expand well beyond photography. We provide business guidance and share our knowledge to fellow entrepreneurs.
Does my membership automatically renew every quarter?
No. At the end of the quarter, we will contact you to determine whether you wish to continue in the program.
What can I expect from Heather and Maura?
We recognize that private mentoring is a worthwhile investment, but that it is not always attainable for small business owners. We developed the mastermind to provide a cost effective way for you to receive guidance from both the other participants, as well as Heather and Maura.
