My good friend Taryn from BluHippo Photography captured this image of Becky during a maternity workshop that we were teaching together. Please make sure you check out Taryn’s website, she is a phenomenal photographer!

Maternity Photos

Nikon D700
70-200mm f/2.8 lens @ 200mm
Shutter Speed: 1/400
ISO 640
f/2.8

Shooting mode: manual
Metering mode: evaluative/pattern
Focus points: single
Focus mode: continuous

This photo was taken on July 15th at 7:24pm. I gathered the EXIF information from the RAW file that Taryn gave me, but then I talked with her about her preferred method of shooting.

Using a single focus point, Taryn focused on Becky’s right eye.

Below is the original and edited versions. Color and light adjustments were accomplished in Lightroom, skin softening and weed removal (top of her arm) in Photoshop.

I actually edited this photo using the free preset that you can get by clicking here. I made minor adjustments in the basic panel once the preset was applied.
