This image was taken on July 20th at 7:00pm. It was partly sunny, the sun was slightly behind her and on camera left.

I love a good black and white photo but I am also a bigger believer that not every photo is meant for black and white. I look for particular situations when I know a photo is going to look amazing converted to a b/w.  On this particular day the clouds were amazing.I placed my subject in the sand surrounded by dark grass. I knew that once I converted it that the lighter sandy area would highlight my subject and the darker areas would drawn the viewers eye to my subject.

I needed to make sure that I was able to exposure not only for the clients skin but that I could get enough detail in the sky so that when I converted it, I could add some contrast for a more dramatic edit.

Most processing was accomplished in Lightroom, minor edits in Photoshop.
