I don’t photograph newborns, but when I do, a chicken may or may not be involved.
My best friend had a baby late last summer and I wanted to take a few photos for her. I don’t have a studio, nor do I have any newborn props, blankets, etc. But, my kids have a been bag, and my chickens have a nice area on our homestead.
Sometimes you just have to use what you’ve got.
For the first half of my career, I did photograph newborns. I LOVE these itty bitty babies, but it wasn’t essential to my business model so I mentored Anne Wilmus Photography and sent my clients to her.
I offer a master’s retouching series in my Advanced Lightroom Workshop, click here for more details.
Below is an example of what we are able to accomplish in Lightroom, this workshop includes the adjustment brush presets that I use for retouching. This is pretty impressive considering many of these edits previously HAD to be done in Photoshop!
Thanks for the link! And the clients! And the mentoring! Lol
Wow I’m impressed you can do all of that in Lightroom – I still have to use Photoshop for edits like that!
