A few friends sent me to CoSchedule recently and insisted that I check it out. I can’t believe I didn’t start using it sooner!

CoSchedule is a service that uses a WordPress plugin to schedule all of your posts for sharing on social media.  This sounded great, as I love productivity software.

Once I schedule a post to be published, I use the quick and easy calendar (located inside WordPress, and at the bottom of each post edit page) to set up my social media sharing strategy.

For instance, I typically publish my new videos on Monday and send them to my email subscribers. On Tuesday, I share with my Weddings by Heather Facebook page. On Wednesday I share via Twitter, and on Thursday I share on my personal Facebook page.

When I had to share manually, it took FOREVER! Besides that, I wasn’t consistent as I would sometimes forget to share on Twitter, or on my personal Facebook page.

I love the visual nature of CoSchedule, it has a really nice drag and drop interface for the calendar. It makes it easy for me to see when I might need to schedule posts, or move them around.

Most importantly, IT HAS SAVED ME TIME. If you’ve watched any of my free videos, then you know that I value efficiency. I would much rather be working ‘on’ my business than ‘in’ my business.

Naturally, I began with the free trial, but it was evident within the first fifteen minutes that this was a service I desperately needed. It can take a significant amount of time to manage all of our social media outlets and I am grateful for the CoSchedule service!

I also love data. And analytics. So I was really pleased to see the post activity stats page. It shows me where and how many times a post has been shared… that way I can determine if it might be a good idea to share again, or target a specific outlet.
