It was quite entertaining going thru old work. I have been in business for 9 years! Wow! Its been a long adventurous road!
First let me show you my first paid senior client… I thought it was an AMAZING shoot. But that is what is so key about it! I LOVED it! It drove me to do more and learn how to make it better. But I simply just LOVED shooting seniors immediately!
Sessions were $75 and included all the 4×6 proofs. I didn’t sell files at the time.
This young lady was a trooper! I had she climbing in windows and walking thru the woods in the middle of winter! These were taken with a Canon Rebel XT and a kit lens in 2008!!!
As embarrassed as I am looking back and sharing those, it also gives me a smile on my face because I saw something even back then. I saw that I was confident in what I was doing and that I could be amazing! I took a few workshops (HEATHER!!) and shot all the time. Facebook was exactly what I needed to boost my confidence and exposure. My family and friends were the best support and often referred new clients.

So.. lets fast forward to 2017! Quick!!! Hahha.
Over the last 9 years I have learned so much! Lighting, posing, styling, and business. There is so much more!! One of the biggest things I have learned is how to value myself, my time, and my work! My average client today spends $1500-$2000 total. That includes my session fee and the average in person order.
Here are a few photos from this past senior season. Enjoy and please post any questions you have.
